Remco's backward curved centrifugal fan units are motor driven by efficient, quiet and compact external rotor motors equipped with ball bearings. Backward curved fan wheels incorporate a small number of long blades, designed to sweep air outwards, as opposed to forward curved impellers, which feature large numbers of shallow blades, which cup the air and project it forward. Backward curved fans are frequently run without the need for a scroll around the fan, and create a high pressure area around the wheel, which even in a rectangular enclosure permits the exhaust air to be released in any direction desired.
Remco are offering six sizes of backward curved units, 133, 175, 190, 220, 225 and 250mm diameter. Our fan wheels are of moulded plastic or plastic/metal construction with drive motors which are suitable for operation in any attitude. Units run at 2 pole speed and are suitable for either 50 or 60 Hz supply. As is common with centrifugal fans the heaviest load occurs at free discharge, i.e.. with no back pressure. Electrical data therefore reflects these operating conditions. |
