Axial Fans

This section details our new expanded range of External Rotor Motor powered Axial Fan units.

The new range comprises axial fan units and guards of nine different sizes, from 250mm to 630mm diameter, all driven by quiet and efficient Permanent Capacitor or Three Phase external rotor motors with ball bearings, allowing operation in any attitude.

The use of external rotor motors, with fan blades fixed directly to the motor body, ensures that overall length of units, from rear of grille to the most forward extremity of the motors are among the shortest available in the industry. Fans are guarded by integral grilles, which are either of “basket” style or where necessary, to avoid unwanted projections on the exterior of appliances, may be flat form for almost flush fitting. 250mm fans alone are available without guards if required.

Commonly used in air conditioning condensing sets, and a host of ventilating units, our range provides for both “blowing” and “sucking” air flows and fans are suitable for both covered and exposed locations. Motor bodies are rated to IP44 or IP54 levels of protection.

All fans operate at 4 pole speeds and those from 300mm upwards are also offered at 6 pole speeds. The largest 630mm dia. fan is offered in either 6 pole or 8 pole versions. The 250mm fans are also offered for operation at 2 pole speed.

All units are available with either single phase, 230 volt, or three phase 400 volt windings. For single phase units integral thermal overload protection is provided, whilst for three phase units the overload leads are brought out for connection to individual requirements. The winding insulation rating for all units is Class F.

Simple to mount, using just four bolts, the Remco range of axial fan units provide ideal replacements for many fans fitted to original equipment, and will also be favoured by many small manufacturing concerns who may not wish to purchase in large quantities.
